Tuesday, June 2, 2009. We've been home 10 weeks! Everybody is used to our new addition. He's just part of the family now. Anna and Teddy have a great relationship. They were definitely meant to be siblings. He is showing affection to us all. When Anna gets hurt, he gives her kisses and hugs. Of course normal siblings fight. He has learned to hoard toys, but he tends to give her what she wants if she cries loud enough! His English is really coming along! Chris and I are really due for some time alone!

Saturday, March 21, 2009. That was one long and difficult trip. Toddlers sure can wear a person out! We love to just sit and watch him play with the toys and talk to himself (in Chinese, of course). It is so funny because we have Anna insisting on using Chinese words for water and potty, and Teddy copies Anna's phrases like "Mommy, I want some 'shwei' (water).". Wednesday, March 25, 2009. Home for Five Days! It's funny how time can fly! Our sweet Teddy is doing so well. Of course, this is a huge adjustment for him. But he is so brave and full of joy. He can also be quite stubborn. He has been crying more, but absolutely no tantrums. Anna's tantrums have continued as normal! Anna is almost the complete opposite of Teddy in disposition. Saturday, January 17, 2009. Our journey started only a year after bringing home our 8 month old daughter from China. I knew I wanted to adopt again, so I started visiting Rainbow Kids online. I spotted our son's picture on their photolisting. We reviewed his file and started the process in February 08. His Chinese name is Jiang Xiao Han. He was found with a letter stating his birth date. His birthday is April 24, 2004. According to the letter, he was abandoned when he was 1! Friday, January 16, 2009.

Wednesday, February 25, 2009. There are so many questions as to why children are abandoned in China. I've read books, heard rumors, and traveled to China. I still can't comprehend the situation. My heart still breaks for my adopted children and those still without a forever family. For those of you who are interested in learning more about orphans and the culture of China, I found a great book! We have finally gotten our travel dates! March 6: LAX to Guiyang. March 8: Meet Teddy. March 20: Arrive at LAX.
