Teaching and counseling in Kigali, Rwanda. Give to the Abrahams. Hate Has No Hope. Shortly after Francisco was born I found it almost impossible to read stories about children being hurt. Protective mama hormones were flowing strong and I’d begin weeping by the second paragraph at the reality that “fearfully and wonderfully made” human beings became objects of hate. Before, and even for a long time after we moved to Rwanda I had questions about the relevance of a lot of the missions-based visiting of oth...

Teaching and counseling in Kigali, Rwanda. Give to the Abrahams. A Few Favorite Things. In no particular order, these are a few things I love about Kigali:. 1 Year-round fresh-picked strawberries. 2 Plants that were dried up and looked dead a few months ago after a long dry season have bounced back to life and are thriving. 3 People tend to be very generous with their stuff here. Teaching and counseling in Kigali, Rwanda. Give to the Abrahams. The Desert Is Dry. Can I read you a story? This is one of Francisco’s favorite bedtime books:. I Love You As Much. By Laura Krauss Melmed. Said the mother horse to her child, I love you as much as a warm summer breeze. Said the mother bear to her child, I love you as much as the forest has trees. Said the mother camel to her child, I love you as much as the desert is dry. Now, sleep, child of mine while the stars shine above, I love you.

Teaching and counseling in Kigali, Rwanda. Give to the Abrahams. Traffic, Filtered Water and Mosquito Bites. We’ve lived in Rwanda for 25.5 of the last 30 months.
