Choosing Joy: June 2008
http://joyfulkat.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in God my Savior. Habakkuk 3:18. Tuesday, June 17, 2008. The past few days have been so full of happenings in our family that it is hard to know where to begin to write about all that is going on. Each event deserves its own blog entry but for the sake of time and actually getting it done I thought I would tell you the story of our weekend in pictures! Ribs ala Dad, Potato Salad, watermelon, chips and guac. We had beans as well even though that wasn't ...

Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in God my Savior. Habakkuk 3:18. Sunday, October 12, 2008. Rifle's Secret Mountain Treasure. Okso maybe it is not such a secret but it has been unknown to us for the past 7 years. Who knew that Rifle had Colorado mountains only a few miles away? Caleb enjoyed being out in the woods taking pictures. The dogs had a blast running free in the hills and the rest of us just enjoyed being outdoors taking in the day. October 18, 2008 at 11:49 AM. God is in Control!

Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in God my Savior. Habakkuk 3:18. Friday, July 25, 2008. Quotes from St. Augustine. You made us for yourself and our hearts find no peace until they rest in you.". How sweet all at once it was for me to be rid of those fruitless joys which I had once feared to lose! You drove them from me, you who are the true, the sovereign joy. You drove them from me and took their place, you who are sweeter than all pleasure.". Wednesday, July 16, 2008. I finally decided...

Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in God my Savior. Habakkuk 3:18. Friday, October 17, 2008. Caleb recently had an assignment in his Junior English class. The assignment was to write an essay entitled Who Am I? I wanted to share it with you. Am I supposed to answer that question? WOW, am I a proud grandma or not. This is one amazing grandson. I know the Lord has great plans in using Caleb for His glory. October 18, 2008 at 11:46 AM. October 19, 2008 at 1:19 PM. November 17, 2008 at 9:09 PM.

Ramblings about what my kids do and say so I don't forget! Thursday, December 11, 2008. I had to jot down a few Emma notes before I forgot them. It seems every time I look at my blog I forget what I was going to write about my little Emma GG but this time I caught the thought and held onto it! Emma is also my dessert princess! Yep, they always have cookies and she loves her cookies! I had to then share with them both. How can you resist such cuteness! December 15, 2008 at 12:57 PM. I am a wife and mother...

Ramblings about what my kids do and say so I don't forget! Saturday, February 7, 2009. Yep, my baby girl turned 5 on January 30th. I had been telling her she could have no more birthdays because I did not want her growing up so quickly and she told me "only 2 more birthdays, mommy, only 2 more". I'm OK with that! She said she wanted to be the same age as her brother so I'm not telling her he won't be 6 forever! It was a beautiful day! Emma got play make-up which she applied all by her lonesome!

Okay this has nothing to do with my kiddos but it does help an old friend from Horn Creek days. I have a friend, Colleen, I worked with that is selling some really cute t-shirts online for ladies. Click on her link on the right to check them out! I hope her company does really well and I am hoping to get a shirt or two or maybe even 3 if I can swing it one of these days!

Ramblings about what my kids do and say so I don't forget! Thursday, October 23, 2008. Testing out my blogging skills, will this be a winner? A friend who blogs and is in S. Africa gave me the idea, even though she doesn't know it, to start blogging because it is a great way to remember the little details we forget later in life if we don't write it down. I bought notebooks to write in for each of the kids about a year ago and I have 2 pages written in them. Pretty sad! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

The Most Wonderful Time of The Year. September 24th, 2009. On September eighth I sent my son, Ethan, back to school. I did and still am doing the happy dance. Why? Because I have been unemployed since March and I had no choice but to spend the entire summer trying to come up with ways to entertain an eight year old. In the past he has spent his summers at some sort of summer camp daycare where all kinds of activities are scheduled. Back to school couldn't come soon enough. It was hot.my first entry.
