Friday, October 28, 2011. Can i do this in 15 minutes? So, i have 15 minutes before i have to race out the door to get pace at preschool. we'll see how far i get. mostly it will just be a list of everything i hope to post in-depth about at a future (soonish? 1 we are now in seattle (well, really, issaquah). 3 we stayed for 3 weeks in a hotel (3 different hotels, actually) before we moved in. 4 it is hard to keep 6 children quiet in a hotel room for 3 weeks. 6 we got a trampoline. 11 we love our new ward.

Bruce is a big lego fan. when he was younger, he had a paper route, and he spent the majority of his spending money from that on legos. he has two apple boxes and a large toolbox full of legos. when rachel was little, we bought her some lego duplos to introduce her, but bruce has just been waiting for the day that he could play legos with the kids. Wednesday, March 19, 2014. At the beginning of fall, i started reading lessons with rachel. it felt a little early to me, but she was so curious about letters and started trying to read along with me while i read the little house. Books out loud to her, so i decided to go for it and see how it went. we used teach your child to read in 100 easy lessons. Which is what i learned with, and several of my extended family members used. i loved it. it worked so well. Here she is when we finished her lessons:.

Friday, May 2, 2014. Coloring books all day long. The kids have semi-recently gotten into a HUGE coloring stage. all. the. time. i feel like we'd buy the kids coloring books and notebooks for things like christmas and then they wouldn't really use them, except occasionally at church. then suddenly they went crazy with coloring. Tuesday, October 29, 2013. Every year I tell bruce i want to drive the alpine loop in the american fork canyon during the fall to see all the leaves changing. i've heard from everyone that it's gorgeous. every year i wait too long and miss it. so, when jamie suggested we go up the canyon a couple weeks ago and have lunch up there, i hopped at the chance! Thursday, May 31, 2012. My little super hero. I guess the pictures are insisting on coming before the post, even though that's not what i said i wanted. also, it took me five tries to type 'insisting'. i should have just picked a new word. anyway, this post is about my pace boy. Pace loved the snow days. he loved them so much that i tried hard to (tolerate) love them, too. this picture is of him during a snow ball fight with loren. Pace loves to wink, which i happen to think is super cute and funny.

Tuesday, April 5, 2011. Fine, i'll post. The kids have been BEGGING me to post pictures of their new rooms. so, here goes! There are some other random pictures in here, also, and nothing's in a particular order, because that's just how it is. I repainted madeline and gretchy's dressers. (i know the pix on the wall are not centered right- we had to change the dressers to allow for their new reading corner, and i haven't moved the pix yet- or put the handles back on mad's dresser). Wednesday, December 15, 2010. My baby's taking a super long nap and i have a couple of surprise spare moments! I don't have anything in particular to say, but i do have some cute pictures i can post. Who needs an ipod? This is the new generation of boom boxes. i found pace walking around holding the little-people nativity stable upside down on his shoulder so he could hear it play "away in a manger" better.
