It is endless amounts of fun for kids, which typically translates into fun for everybody. I really should make it a point to take the boys at least twice a month since we have a membership. Tuesday, May 7, 2013. While Cara was here last weekend, we went shopping at a local thrift store. I got this dress for $4. It's a size 14, which is giant on me. I bought it, along with a white button-up shirt that is my size, so that I could use all of that pretty blue fabric to make something I could wear. I used one of my dresses to decide how long to cut the skirt. I folded the skirt in half, and sewed right down the middle, because the skirt was big enough that half of it would work for me. Saturday, May 4, 2013. Slipcover tutorial {how to make the couch body}. This is part 4 of my couch slipcover tutorial. Go here. To start from the beginning. Step 1: Measure and Cut the Arm Fronts. Cut a rectangle of fabric and pin it to one of the arms. Outline the existing piping in chalk. Cut out the arm piece, leaving a little around the edge for seam allowance. Step Two: Add Piping. Sew on the piping and check the size of the arm front against the arm of the couch. Step Three: Finish the Arm Pieces.

This is a wonderful book with lots of inspiration for making great photos. It is illustrated throughout with photos taken by the Clickin Moms.
