The Bicycle Diaries: April 2009
http://the-bicycle-diaries.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, April 23, 2009. It's been very long since E and I rode in the morning. On Tuesday, I could not wake up in time and E had to do ride by himself. Felt really bad so I scheduled to ride again this morning. Woke up with a terrible headache. I think it's because I closed most of my window and left a small gap. The wind last night was never seen before in Singapore. (since when do you 'see' wind? Hopefully, we're not going to blow this chance to cycle by giving excuses. Wednesday, April 15, 2009.

Tuesday, June 29, 2010. Japan Tour Day Two. Tokyo, Shinjyuku Mt Takao. In the morning, I went to Tsukiji Fish Market, but only toured the touristy places. I am more interested in eating fish, not seeing them auctioned! This prawn is still moving when I took the picture. See the long queue at the far end? Outskirts of the fish market. I was wondering where and how I should stay, but in the deepening twilight, I found an abandoned car park on the slope of the mountain. Why not? This river goes along the pe...

Wednesday, September 30, 2009. Life is busy now. Ex Praxis, 2nd Year ICT and Workplan Seminar back to back in three consecutive weeks, and I have to conduct range at the end of October. Progress has indeed slowed, but I have never lost sight of the end point. However, the troubles I face in the organisation of the Tour is such that few others can relate to: sponsorship, logistics, travel worries, and the ticking timebomb at the back of my mind that screams at me daily - "4 months left! My budgeting now i...

Sunday, November 22, 2009. 0 Comments Post/Read comment. Seriously, I don’t understand NUS admissions policy. I’m developing some kind of grudge against them for systematic stupidity on their part, which is immediately apparent from the confirmation of course letter they sent me two days back. Firstly, on the issue of medical examination: explain to me why must a medical examination be done? A better policy will be to examine only people who have been to certain locations like Africa or Laos or Cambodia ...

Monday, October 19, 2009. I met with SPH School Pocket Money Fund (SPMF) today. Suffice to say, I found myself ill-equipped to answer administrative questions to the mechanics of donations. I have never heard of the auditor requirements, or the stuff about accounting. Who ever said this was going to be easy? Nevertheless, the situation proves to be quite amusing. In view of budget and China's closure of Tibet, the trip will probably only focus on Southeast Asia. Onwards! 0 Comments Post/Read comment.

Poem from Mr Lovely. ROUTE: COASTAL LOYANG (1 Loop) - SIMPANG. Derrick, Stanley, Bill, Stefan, Amos and me. Turn-off my drinking kaki as I need to head home for cycling despite of the bad weather at that time. Fortunately, sky began to clear and roads were drying up when I stepped out from home Changi was spared by bad weather after all. If I’d missed this ride, can’t imagine how many rotten eggs Stefan going to throw at me. Wow, I’ve not been drinking since last Tuesday. Luvly! Total no of rider.
