I spent a year or 2 there before i started kindergarten,and then every subsequent summer of my childhood. It's been a while since my last visit. It was good visiting family and vancouver just always seem to have wicked weather and a cool laid back feel to it. If you've never been, definetely put it on your to do list. Welcome back to N. Saturday, June 23, 2007. DMZ I went on a tour of the DMZ. I made one critical error in which I should have booked the Panmunjeom and DMZ tour. Panmunjeom is the 10 km down the center of the DMZ area in which I believe I would have seen some N. Korean soldiers. Memorial Alter in Imjingak. Wednesday, May 23, 2007. For those who don't know him. meet kenny. I have known him since he was like 10 and I was his jr counsellor. and he's still the same goofbal; It's like having another younger brother except this one has no qualms abt waking your ass up for late night pho. So kenny, is this good enough for ya? Now leave me alone! In all seriousness, kenny is my boy. he's the type of friend that when you need him, he'll be there. albeit 2 hours late. but he'll be there. And it's the same pose again.

Tuesday, July 10, 2007. Last Days in Tokyo. Went to this awesome restaurant where they must have felt bad for me b/c they offered me a bunch of freebies. I meant to go back but ran out of time =S. The sign to keep Shinjuku clean in the smokers corner makes me laugh. It's not just the shirt that made me laugh, it's all the "gaijin's" cell phone cameras that came out. And yes, I do have a non blurry photo. just didn't think it was appropriate. What happens when boys mix chou-hi and beer together.

Tuesday, July 10, 2007. I really enjoyed Hakata (or Fukuoka) and Beppu. Hakata has a good city feel to it without feeling crowded and busy like TOkyo and Beppu is a nice, relaxing get away. Taking the ferry from Busan, Korea back to Hakata, Japan. Note to self: make reservatios next time, they originally told me all the ferries for the day was booked. Stayed at beautiful traditional ryokan in Hakata. A busyTemple around the corner from my hostel. Gotta love the motto of the Pachinko organisation. Catchin...
