It starts next weekend (1/17). When I signed up, I also registered for membership at the Writer's Center which means I would receive discounts on subsequent classes for the rest of the year. Hopefully that will help me be motivated to take a second class when this one is over. I'm really looking forward to it! January 5, 2009 at 8:32 PM.

Eight rules for writing fiction:. 1 Use the time of a total stranger in such a way that he or she will not feel the time was wasted. 2 Give the reader at least one character he or she can root for. 3 Every character should want something, even if it is only a glass of water. 5 Start as close to the end as possible. My third event basket is made from braided Yellow Flag Iris leaves and was woven as a demonstration piece during the Eastside Culture Crawl this past weekend.
