This kind of thinking reminds me of a truth table and it helps me to consistently arrive at the answer with the same method. Dr. Narayan encouraged us to answer the question Why does the ship sink? Then she started talking about other applications of buoyancy and even engineering. What is the difference between erosion and weathering? He responded excitedly and his answers were thorough. He started off having a few basic concepts of erosion and weathering, and now he was able to explain and describe exactly how erosion creates various landforms. He even asked if we had time to do one more experiment.
