Before teaching first grade, I didn’t realize how many students would only know their letter sounds and not actually know how to put them together and read. What an amazing opportunity it is to be able to teach a child how to read or to be able to enhance their reading skills! Perk #95: Momma, I mean Miss Hickerson. Traveling brings amazing opportunities and eye opening experiences but it also comes with a cost. You’ve lost a simpler way of thinking. Home will never be the same in your mind. Probably not.
