Looking Past the Surface: Keep Japan in your prayers...
http://ashleycentric.blogspot.com/2011/03/keep-japan-in-your-prayers.html
Monday, March 14, 2011. Keep Japan in your prayers. I got this message from a childhood friend the other day. As an employee of a 24 hour news organization, I have been following the story in Japan closely, but it never occurred to me that I might know someone who was directly effected by this disaster. As soon as I saw her name in my email, I immediately froze, but I thought her words and reassurance should be shared with others. For updates regarding the earthquake. Looking Past the Surface: February 2011
http://ashleycentric.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 1, 2011. A few days ago I sent out this tweet:. For in the end, freedom is a personal and lonely battle; and one faces down fears of today so that those of tomorrow might be engaged. I owe my ancestors who fought for my rights as well as myself to remain knowledgeable. I hope that everyone takes an opportunity to educate themselves on something outside of the Black History Month basics and continue past the surface. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Looking Past the Surface: September 2010
http://ashleycentric.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 20, 2010. SMH Please stay in your lane. Kim Zolciak has released a song called "Google Me." While it's not quite as successful as Teyana Taylor's "Google Me Baby," the vocals are much more polished than her previous single "Tardy for the Party." Honestly, there isn't much more I can say about her. I completely understand making money off of the celebrity received from a reality television show, but stay in your lane people! This is the SMH moment of the week. Real Housewives of Atlanta.

Tuesday, June 8, 2010. In a recent article in Vibe magazine, rapper Slim Thug makes many over exaggerations, which I hate to say, have some basis in the truth. Unfortunately, his way of describing his point only makes him as horrible and hypocritical as the people he is talking about. Slim continues to explain himself by stating,. If you have expectations in a relationship, those expectations should be made clear. Do not expect your mate to be a mind reader. 8220;White women treat they man like a king an...
