Reim-er Reason: April 2012
http://johnmreimer.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Random thoughts and experiences. Thursday, April 26, 2012. As a pastor, I am often asked to fill out reference forms. Sometimes I know the person very well and feel I can give a fairly accurate reference. At other times I don't know the person well at all and the reference becomes more symbolic than useful. I have had to give references at various times. Of course, I hope that those I choose will give a good reference - thought I DO want them to be truthful. Are we beginning to commend ourselves. To the ...

After dedicated preparation by our leadership team, we began the journey today. Here are some exerpts from my sermon notes this morning on the subject: "How Can I Trust The Bible". The Bible is the most read book in history. The Bestselling book in history and the most translated book in history. I can truat the Bible becuase. 1 It is Historically Accurate. There a...

Reim-er Reason: March 2014
http://johnmreimer.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Random thoughts and experiences. Monday, March 31, 2014. We used to sing the words "Give me oil in my lamp, keep me burning." I am still not quite sure we really knew what we were singing about. And then there was the verse, "Give me gas in my Ford." Talk about theologically deep songs! The question is, are we ready? Would my life be what I would want it to be? Would I be in relationship with God the way I would want it to be should today be the day Jesus comes back? Sunday, March 30, 2014. Psalm 32 sugg...

Reim-er Reason: A Most Lonely Place
http://johnmreimer.blogspot.com/2014/04/a-most-lonely-place.html
Random thoughts and experiences. Thursday, April 17, 2014. A Most Lonely Place. Did Jesus ever feel lonely and get depressed? He certainly had reason to. No one really understood him. Yes, he had friends. Close friends even. But they didn't really "get" him. When he was in his deepest times of distress they were drifting off to sleep or arguing amongst themselves. Like the night we call Maundy Thursday. I wonder how Jesus felt? They were asleep. How did Jesus feel? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Reim-er Reason: He Is Alive!!
http://johnmreimer.blogspot.com/2014/04/he-is-alive.html
Random thoughts and experiences. Sunday, April 20, 2014. Just as he said he would be. He is Alive today - and that makes all the difference. Watch the following videos to be inspired! Have a blessed Easter! I love this new song "Forever" by Kari Jobe - Forever (Live) - Kari Jobe. Here is the song I did as a dramatic monologue in our Easter Service this morning. Sung by Don Francisco (composer of the song) - He's Alive - Don Francisco. Yes, I love some of the music from the 1970's. May you be inspired!

Reim-er Reason: The Silent Saturday Sabbath
http://johnmreimer.blogspot.com/2014/04/the-silent-saturday-sabbath.html
Random thoughts and experiences. Saturday, April 19, 2014. The Silent Saturday Sabbath. It was a dark day! A day of shock and despair. Their leader, their teacher, their personal friend and mentor had been suddenly arrested and executed! Just a day or so ago you were having the intimate passover meal together. Then came the chaos in the garden. Something happened between Pilate and the Religious leaders. And now - he was gone. But, now what? He was going to lead them into the Kingdom! A Most Lonely Place.

Reim-er Reason: Were You There?
http://johnmreimer.blogspot.com/2014/04/were-you-there_19.html
Random thoughts and experiences. Saturday, April 19, 2014. Today has been a day to reflect on Jesus Christ giving his life to pay for our sin. A day of contrasts when man was at his worst and God was at his best. We tried to kill God and God rescued us. It is interesting to note some of the people who were present at the cross. We sing the old "Spiritual" "Were you there when they crucified my Lord? There were the religious leaders who found their place in society threatened. Jesus also flew in the f...

Reim-er Reason: March 2012
http://johnmreimer.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Random thoughts and experiences. Saturday, March 31, 2012. The very people who were instrumental in the execution of Jesus were also centrally involved in bringing about the very thing they tried to stop. The Romans tried to stop the uprising they feared might be taking place in Jerusalem. The Jews tried to stop the one they feared would attract many away from their religious order and practices and jeopardize. Their desire for political freedom. Listen to what it says in John 11,. A Jewish high priest p...

Reim-er Reason: November 2012
http://johnmreimer.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Random thoughts and experiences. Monday, November 05, 2012. Today I am totally impressed with Canada Revenue Agency. CRA deals with income tax issues in Canada. The phone call took less than 5 minutes and the issue was completely resolved. I hear far too many people complain about dealing with government agencies. So I just want to shout out "WAY TO GO CRA" for the service I received! If you need the CRA website you can find it here http:/ www.cra-arc.gc.ca/menu-eng.html. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
