Look What I Made!

Look What I Made! Sunday, June 12, 2016. Both of my kids had birthday parties to go to recently. This means that there were cards to be made! First, my youngest was invited to the party for a girl in his class. I don't get to make very many girl birthday cards, so this one was lots of fun. We had learned from her mom that she likes to draw with glitter pens, so I decided that she needed some sparkle on her card! The right side, as you can see, was filled with glittery balloons! Even after burnishing the ...

Look What I Made!: August 2015

http://jries.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html

Look What I Made! Wednesday, August 5, 2015. The current challenge over at Art Impressions. Is called "Create a Card Set". The idea is to make a set of at least three cards that go together in some way. I decided to use the watercolor tree and branch stamps to make a set of seasonal trees for my cards. I have spent time watching her work her magic twice more since then (in Akron again this year, and just this past weekend in Novi) and I still love every second of it. To finish off the set, I stamped and ...

Look What I Made!: Disney Crafting

http://jries.blogspot.com/2016/03/disney-crafting.html

Look What I Made! Thursday, March 31, 2016. My family and I are heading off to Disney World soon and I have done a bit of crafting with adhesive vinyl and my Silhouette Portrait to get ready! Most recently, I embellished our new Magic Bands to better represent the characters we each used instead of our real names on the inside of our bands (If you look closely at the first picture, you can see the names printed on the box in front of each band- in case you can't figure out the characters from the designs!

Look What I Made!: June 2015

http://jries.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html

Look What I Made! Tuesday, June 30, 2015. This card was made for the Art Impressions. Red White and Blue Challenge. I wanted to try using my newest watercolor set to create a 4th of July card and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. The main image is done using the AI Chest of Flowers. From Papertrey Ink, and the "freedom" was an unmounted stamp in my collection from an indeterminate source. Wednesday, June 17, 2015. Teacher Gifts with Flowers. Monday, June 8, 2015. Jess Riepe | Taking Five Pictures of Life

Taking Five Pictures of Life. Five pictures of an abandoned dairy barn. Bull;March 1, 2012 • Leave a Comment. For this week, I was inspired by my mother’s yard. My father was a classic car collector disguised as a dairy farmer. I often joke with people that we had more cars than cows on the farm where I grew up. The room that changed the most after the cows were gone was the bulk tank’s room. This was sold soon after the cattle were and the gap was just closed with plywood. About the only time this room ...
