If you love sound slides . . . Check out America Recycled. A video blog about two brothers on a bike trip across the US – one of them a photo journalist and former Media Storm intern – to the tune of sweet American folk. Then look at Not On The Wires’ (A British production company) Window on Uzbekistan. Project, the New York Times’ One in Eight Million. Project and basically anything done by Mediastorm. Which is based in Brooklyn, NY. It’s beautifully done and short enough to watch on a study break.

jschooled | so you’ve decided to be a journalist! …dude, why?
September 17, 2007 · 11:18 pm. Dige “New York Times finally realizes paying for stuff is way overrated” edition. Rupert Murdoch is presiding over the flouncing exits of highly-paid Wall Street Journal reporters. Every one gone is another one he doesn’t have to fire! And also, because the Weekend Journal isn’t offensive enough in the Friday paper, the WSJ is planning on expanding it into a magazine. My hometown paper pissed off about a bajillion readers. 8212; hates their stupid orange TimesSelect program.
