Transformative time and space for artists. Elbio Rodriguez Barilari (Dec. 13, 1953) is an Uruguayan composer living in Chicago, USA. Composer, performer and writer Elbio Barilari was born in Montevideo, Uruguay, in 1953. He studied in his own country as well as in Brazil and Germany, and moved to the US in 1998. Was premiered in 2010 at The Goodman Theatre; Carmen Helena Téllez was the Music Director and Henry Godínez the Stage Director. Heard on WFMT 98.7 Sundays at 3pm.

Ragdale is a nonprofit artists’ community located on the former country estate of architect Howard Van Doren Shaw. In each session, 13 artists-in-residence enjoy uninterrupted time for work, a supportive environment, dynamic artist exchanges, 50 acres of idyllic prairie, and a family-style dinner each evening.
