Saturn V paper model (1:96). Problems collecting BPC resources. So far we have not enough resources to develop Boost Protective Cover (BPC) model. There are some drawings and photographs available but they does not allow to develop model in desired level of detailedness and accuracy. We still hope to acquire some additional resources. If this our effort would fail, we plan to develop the model with replaceable BPC to allow future change of our BPC for something more detailed. What resources we have.

Saturn V paper model (1:96). Paper tubes ⌀ 0.7 mm. To build LES lattice. In 1:96 scale one needs tubes with 0.7 mm, 1.0 mm and 1.1 mm diameters. It is possible to create such tiny tubes from paper in acceptable quality using this procedure.

I just had some quite disrupting stuff happening the last few weeks, that made me shift my attention away from paper and model making. One of the things was that my bag was stolen, with all my keys, wallet and reading glasses inside. The whole situation has put me back about 500 euros of getting all my stuff back together Changing locks, new driver's license, you name it. Great. Fantastic. For now, have fun and a good weekend.

It already has the engine back on and stands tall, awaiting its twin. Lately I am occupied with lots of job-related things and taking care of my sweet girlfriend who needs me to improve on her health again. She improves a little every day but it will take a lot of time until she's better. Both the job and the nursery stuff take up lots of time so that puts the paper model things on a low priority level, unfortunately. How's stuff then, now?

As far as my collection goes, I have a couple of "rules" I try to keep in mind while I am making things. For the static collection of rockets, I prefer the 1/96th scale. It is all because of the big plastic Revell Saturn V I have, and now all the rockets need to refer to that one in size. Do I have to name them all? Old rockets, new rockets, middle-aged rockets, you name it, I make 'em.

Ariane is awaiting its shroud, there's a partially built starling on the desk and the sun is out. I am enjoying the weather and the company of my awesome girlfriend. In about a week or so I am back at the cutting mat. Until then, go outside, have a beer or a nice cold white wine, enjoy the weather, each other, and have fun. See you in a bit.
