The draft MSP segment is available. The Bryant plots and by-orbit analysis are attached. Several very long BM1 periods are proposed, covering the inbound Bow Shock crossing for all four satellites. There are also some BM2 periods near perigee for the DOZC (Dayside Outer Zone Chorus) and the EQUA. Two orbits are affected by manoeuvres, with C2 needing a wide margin on the manoeuvre timing. This covers August and September 2016, and includes the 'Long Eclipse' OFF period. All four SC are switched off from 24/08/2016 22:09 to 02/09/2016 02:00, and C1, C3, C4 are switched off from 22/08/2016 19:24. The priority remains the Plasma Sheet and Neutral Sheet crossings. The attached template Bryant plots use the newest orbit files (LTOFs/LTEFs (20160203). 22 July: A few extra BM1/BM2 periods are added, since the data fill is increased to 120%, and D0 periods reduced/amended (see updated attachments).

There is a Moon eclipse on 19 April for all 4 SC. The GI Burgess requests will be executed during this segment and short BM1 sessions for the GI Alexandrova request. 4 Aug: The moon eclipse on 29 November has added restrictions on the use of BM1 and BM2 before the eclipse, so the two BM1 periods in 2578 have been deleted and the D0 periods adjusted. There is a new Bryant plot for November 2016 on the JSOC web page, and here on the wiki. The by-orbit analysis has been updated and the list of D0 periods. 29 Aug: An updated list of D0 periods has been added (this includes the last 3 orbits of MSP35.2, where a D0 period was moved). 4 April: There are manoeuvres on C1, C2, C3 on 3 June, 12 June and 1 August (see web page for details). The D0 periods have been placed (in June), after the long (5-hour) BM1 periods, usually just before perigee, so that the instruments are on in time for the Cusp crossings.
