Leanne Maitland, viola. Autumn ’13 →. October 28, 2012 · 10:41 pm. NB This original recital was canceled, and ended up happening 10 months later, so the dates are off. I decided to leave this post up anyway. The way I’m shaping that phrase is PHAT. Some days are not good days. Motivation comes and goes, and is uncannily related to how well we think progress is going. Anyhow, it’s a process that musicians know well, myself included, but each time is a little bit different. Leanne Maitland, viola. Dead Red Pine this Saturday! November 2, 2013 · 11:20 am. I usually am indifferent to autumn, seeing as how in Edmonton it usually lasts 4 weeks, with less-than-desirable temperatures, and then snow hits. This year was different. The weather was amazing – sunny, warm (comparably), and the colours were stunning. I went on long walks, exploring new parts of the city with my dear one. On another end of the spectrum, I am thrilled to be the newest member of Dead Red Pine.

Leanne Maitland, viola. Unsilent Night on Alberta Ave. March 28, 2014 · 12:06 pm. The past few months have been full of teaching and playing – a welcome distraction from the never-ending winter. I have been fortunate to play a few big works recently- Die Fledermaus with Edmonton Opera. And Bach’s B Minor Mass with Alberta Baroque. And Richard Eaton Singers. It was so great to have Len Ratzlaff as a conductor again for the Bach – I have many fond memories of singing in the U of A Madrigal Singers. And sch...
