The visual journal of a retired art teacher. Monday, October 31, 2011. Nothing Lasts Forever, and update. Earlier this year I posted a painting of an old barn that I painted in Door County last May. I mentioned that the owner stopped by while I was painting, and said I may be the last person to paint this old barn because they were waiting for better weather to replace the roof with a new metal roof! I told her I thought she "nailed it". Maybe this will "last forever" with new sides and a metal roof!

While planning the trip, another opportunity arose to teach classes on a 7 day cruise to the Eastern Bahamas with Royal Caribbean Cruises aboard the Freedom of the Seas. We were going to drive to Florida and leave for South America from Miami so it was easy to get to Port Canaveral for this trip. Classes aboard the Celebrity were held at 9:00am in the 11th floor disco lounge. I taught 5 classes on days at Sea.
