http://jsvan.blogspot.com/2005_10_01_archive.html
Just a Place for Observations and Ramblings (CLICK ON PHOTOS TO ENLARGE). Tuesday, October 11, 2005. Okay so now I know one way to post pics. Bear with me as I figure out how to use this Blog-thingy. Hiking in the Dolomiti, Italy 2003. At the Great Wall, 2005. Yes, this is really me.at Snowbird, 2003. I thought it might be cool to set up a blog so friends and family could see what I was up to in my retirement. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Google Website Translator Gadget. JSV's Place: Luang Prabang, Day 2......on the River
http://jsvan.blogspot.com/2014/01/luang-prabang-day-2on-river.html
Just a Place for Observations and Ramblings (CLICK ON PHOTOS TO ENLARGE). Saturday, January 11, 2014. Luang Prabang, Day 2.on the River. On the second day in Luang Prabang I took a 1 hour boat ride up the Mekong to visit the Pak Ou caves. The 2 caves have thousands of little Buddhas in them and you have to do some serious climbing to get to them. But the real highlight of the trip is the actual cruise up and then back down the Mekong. A few river scenes from the trip:. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
JSV's Place: November 2006
http://jsvan.blogspot.com/2006_11_01_archive.html
Just a Place for Observations and Ramblings (CLICK ON PHOTOS TO ENLARGE). Wednesday, November 29, 2006. Wednesday, November 29. Today I flew back to Bangkok and have got settled in at a hotel in a different section of the city from the previous stay. In the tourist Patpong district of bars, go-go clubs, street bazaar. A lot more "character" than the JW Marriott. This hotel has slow wireless internet so I may have abbreviated entries for the next few days. It's slow to upload photos. Monday, Nov 27. Yeste...

http://jsvan.blogspot.com/2006_07_01_archive.html
Just a Place for Observations and Ramblings (CLICK ON PHOTOS TO ENLARGE). Friday, July 14, 2006. I think I will go to Montreal for 5 days next month instead of volunteer for the week of Camp with the actual cancer patients. Why not? I've never been there before. I started a part-time job last week. I am babysitting at a MRI Center 2 days a week for $60/hr. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Google Website Translator Gadget. Del Mar, California, United States. Bao-Bao's Blog: Same Same, But Different! Pt. 16: Spring Cleaning And Home Repairs
http://khunbaobao.blogspot.com/2014/03/same-same-but-different-pt-16-spring.html
Monday, March 17, 2014. Same Same, But Different! Pt 16: Spring Cleaning And Home Repairs. Would you walk into the front room and tell me what the weather looks like today, please? It's March 17 - Saint Patrick's Day in many places. There's the first hint of corned beef beginning to rise from the slow-cooker here in my home; the warm aroma of peppercorn, bay leaves, and mustard seed leading the pack. That means there will be a fine dinner tonight. Regardless of how grand or how humble your home is in man...
Bao-Bao's Blog: October 2013
http://khunbaobao.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, October 31, 2013. Yes, Thank You. I'm Still Around! If your month has been as good as mine has, you've been extremely fortunate. I'll hold that hope for you all. Even with. Losing a couple of favored people from our spinning blue marble I've had a wonderful October. As I'd mentioned a while back: I have a life that reaches far beyond blogging, and for that I'm eternally grateful. And I apologize. I do appreciate you asking. I'm also asked to speak every so often on travel in Thailand, and that ...

http://bitemefanblog.blogspot.com/2009/12/close-encounters-of-ikea-kind.html
Wednesday, December 9, 2009. They're Norwegians, Mac". Have you heard about the Norway Spiral yet? Aliens or an AWOL Russian missle? You be the judge, but I can't get excited about it. I just will be too heartbroken when it's revealed to be a boy in his father's weather balloon, sticking spinning fireworks in his a$%hole and mooning Scandinavia. When the little green men appear on camera, then. See I told you it was nothing to get excited about. December 22, 2009 at 11:16 AM. View my complete profile.

Bite Me Fanblog: Utah Jones
http://bitemefanblog.blogspot.com/2009/02/utah-jones.html
Thursday, February 12, 2009. I'm not sure what surprised me more. the fact that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints advertises on The Huffington Post:. Or the revelation that Jesus revisited earth as Harrison Ford. Or am I the only person who sees that? Incidentally, in my image search for a shot of a bearded Ford (which predictably led me to settle on The Fugitive. I found this gem: a cameo by Ford as Indiana Jones in The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles. Keep watching past the preview.

Bite Me Fanblog: Dracula: The Student Film
http://bitemefanblog.blogspot.com/2009/05/dracula-student-film.html
Tuesday, May 26, 2009. Dracula: The Student Film. I recently rewatched Tod Browning's Dracula. And was displeased to find that it really isn't all that. It's slow. It's silly. It's not really scary, even, I'm guessing, by 1930's standards. I know there are stories of women fainting in the aisles, but I have to assume that such stories are apocryphal. Compare this 1931 adaptation of Bram Stoker's novel to F.W. Murnau's Nosferatu. I digress. Back to Bela. Murnau's The Last Laugh. Ever heard of it? What the...

23 - Sept - 2009. God natt. 21 - Sept - 2009.

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor.
