Tuesday, January 24, 2006. Kayla really enjoys a good book as well as a good game of peekaboo. Luckily I have been reading for a number of years and I am certified for reading childrens stories. I am also a 2nd degree black belt in peekaboo which has come in more handy than I could have possibly hoped for. Now that she can sit up, she has her hands free for playing and communicating. Tuesday, November 29, 2005. Tonight Mike figured out how to get Kayla laughing hysterically. It was really funny! She just kept laughing and laughing. Afterwards she got her bath for the night and spent a good amount of time afterwards sucking her big toe! Luckily, it was clean. Posted by Mommy @ 10:56 PM. Thursday, December 29, 2005. Here's 1 more picture from our Christmas trip up north. At the end of our trip, we got a chance to stop by Aunt Kristi and Uncle Ed's house in Cleveland, Ohio. Sunday, May 21, 2006. Well, Kayla Rose was 11 months this past week and she got her first tooth! Along with it, she got a really bad cough and runny nose. For anyone keeping count, this is at least her 3rd cold in the last month. It was a long week, but she's doing really well now. (We think she's learning to share well as she passed this cold and cough on to Daddy as well.). Monday, February 20, 2006. We had a scare with Kayla as she came down with viral menigitis. Luckily it wasn't bacterial meningitis as that could have been much worse. As it was we had to spend a few days in the hospital. Kayla was very wary of the nurses as they seemed to either have a needle, rectal thermometer or other torture device. Saturday, April 15, 2006. Today we also made it to the zoo and bought an annual pass. Kayla got to see giraffes, monkeys, and rhinos. Thursday, March 23, 2006. Kayla just turned 9 months old this past weekend and she's doing great! We'd guess she weighs maybe 20-21 lbs now. She's still wearing size three diapers, still drinking 26-32 oz of formula a day, and still eating baby food 3 times a day. We're trying to give her more mashed table food every now and then but the baby food is just too easy to prepare. Posted by Mommy @ 8:12 PM.
