Saturday, July 31, 2010. July 31, 2010. Happy Re-Birthday to Me. Today is my birthday, and I'm celebrating with a big, fat chocolate cake my mother is concocting. Ice cream optional. Today I am 55, and I'm consciously, deliberately re-birthing myself according to my own soul's divine plan. I feel deeply connected to my world and fine in tune with my divine guidance. I spent a few hours yesterday in the companionship of my dear friend Holly, as we walked the enchanted acres of her family's ranch, during t...

Sunday, July 11, 2010. July 11, 2010. My eternal gratitude to Marcia. Posted by About Jane. July 13, 2010 at 7:50 PM. Janie, I loved every minute of it! You are the best guest a hostess could ask for. And so is Jubilee. That is a sweet, sweet creature. I, in turn, thank you for being here and hope that this will be your home away from home as you meander the Midwest. You are welcome back for R&R anytime the road becomes long and dusty . or . make up a reason! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Friday, July 23, 2010. July 23, 2010. I had a BIZARRE experience early this morning, but it was not entertaining. As I drove head-first into a lightning storm, I was exhilarated to watch the glowing streaks across the purple sky. Perfect zig-zag formation! However, in an instant a horrendous explosion occurred right next to me, like a cannon going off, and suddenly splinters of wood rained down on the Motherload. At first I thought someone had shot a flock of birds! Posted by About Jane. July 31, 2010.

Sunday, July 18, 2010. July 18, 2010. This morning, I opened my eyes and the windows and let the angst of yesterday float out and away into the clear, blue sky. In its place, peace claimed me. Or I claimed it. We made a good driving partners today, and I've invited it to stay! Here is ONE thing I know: There are actually some things that are OK not to know. Posted by About Jane. July 18, 2010 at 9:51 PM. Janie, so glad you are feeling great about a great decision. When I read that you are in Washburn...

Thursday, July 22, 2010. July 22, 2010. I just lost every single word I wrote about today's journey. Of course it was some of my BEST writing! But maybe it's true that every picture tells a story of its own! Posted by About Jane. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Check out my website! Http:/ www.jubilee-art.com. View my complete profile. Wednesday, July 7, 2010. July 7, 2010. Leaving the farm was bittersweet. Mary and Gordon treated me like I was family, from royal heritage. I will always be grateful to them. After 5 days on the farm, I felt ready to continue my journey, and was excited and confident driving down the country lane, waving goodbye, Jubilee perched in the co-pilot seat, ears flapping like little flags. Even Jubilee joined me. She frollicked like an otter; I lolled about like a manatee. I am so humbled by the opportunity to ...

Friday, July 2, 2010. July 2, 2010. I feel something in me is changing, but I can't name it yet. There's a subtle yet powerful surging I'm feeling that is in synch with the upcoming Independence Day celebrations. I feel like fireworks are set to go off within me and they are waiting for the queue. Posted by About Jane. July 2, 2010 at 6:06 PM. I love you, Auntie Jane! Got the St. Louis postcard today. I spent six hours at PT today and swam 16 laps (and only four of those with a floaty belt! July 31, 2010.

Thursday, July 15, 2010. July 15, 2010. On Wednesday, Jubilee and I took off for a hike near the rock, wandering along a rugged and narrow footpath, edged on both sides by robustly flourishing poison ivy! I'm happy to say that I completed a commissioned Soul Painting this week and made progress on a watercolor I began earlier, and I completed a "thank you" painting for Lynn's mom, Jane, for her gracious and sweet-hearted acceptance of me as practically a family member during my stay. Friday, July 16, 2010. July 16, 2010. I drove about 100 miles today and lucked in to a fine campsite at Rock Cut State Park, in northern Illinois. It's gorgeously shaded with hardwood trees and offers miles of hike/bike trails and a swimming beach on the lake. I'm flanked by friendly, merry-making families. Their laughter, crackling fires, and the scent of their BBQs simultaneously comfort and ruin me. (I hear Ms. Frumholme fumbling with her mask! Posted by About Jane.
