My work in clay is a metaphor for life; the creating, the changing and the discovery. I am driven by the endless possibilities and the challenge of claryifying a design and exploring a shape. I strive for functional elegance using the nuances of line and curve. I find my voice in clay exploring visual possibilites that I hope will engage the viewer.

I delight in working with clay. The pull and the pinch. The rough and the smooth. Nature is my inspiration to explore memory, time, beauty, fragility, protection and strength. I use forms that are reminiscent of the sea, the earth, plants, trees, and wind. My work is sculptural although some of my work can be functional. Contrasts of glazed and unglazed portions of my pieces are of interest to me. I also like to use varieties of textures and colors juxtaposed to create subtle embellishment.

Puzzle and Maze Books. Welcome to my website. Thanks for visiting. Please have a look around. I’m a writer and illustrator of children’s books. At the moment, I’m working on the third book in the Stella Montgomery Intrigue series. The first two books are called Withering-by-Sea and Wormwood Mire. A Garden of Lilies is here! Stella is reading a discouraging book that her Aunts gave her as a going away present. It is full of stories of children who do the wrong thing, and meet with terrible disasters.

My all-time favorite game, Blockout, is available at archive.org since end of last year: Link. Use arrow-keys for moving the tetriminos, q,w,e or a,s,d for rotating them and space to drop them down.
