We completed two hours of the route, initially passing through acres of some of the tallest salal bushes we had ever seen, easily three metres high. Hope the ones in our garden stay below the one metre max they seem to grow to at present…. 8212; but we endorsed her opinion and decided this was the point to turn back and retrace our steps to the car.
