These princess dresses and suits were worn by the young girls and boys who are disabled. No photos were taken so I had to at least take these. I was soooo touched. The sister told me she got these in Lima. I gave her a huge cuddle. They do not see these young people as less deserving in any way. The bodices were boned and sparkly. She had her own little dress.

Saturday, 31 January 2015. At Awanakancha i learnt about the history of lamas and alpacas. I met a few too. I love this photo of the Alpacas. There are different types of Alpacas. The Vicuna is endangered. This guy comes in various colours down to white. All these colours are naturally made from leaves and twigs and berries. Awanakancha is a private project associated with 14 communities with weaving the principle produce. Some of the women had children with them. He wriggled a lot but I finally took this.

Saturday, 28 February 2015. Pisac on a Sunday. I really wanted to see Pisac on a Sunday. There are markets but there is also a mass and the men and boys on this Sunday were all dressed up for the service. The hats are impressive. You really don't get to look inside many churches let alone during a service so this was special. However it was also market day. But the hero for me is the amazing countryside. The Inca terraces and beautiful landscapes. Tuesday, 24 February 2015. More fun at the Orphanage.

Wednesday, 25 March 2015. Taquile Isla - Lake Titicaca. Marleny's grandfather - we signed a book that recorded travellers' comments since 1982. Marleny - our guide on Amantani. On to Taquile Isla - we were dropped off and had to walk up to the Plaza de Armas. So blue the water today - Gorgeous. The entrance to the square. Taquileños run their society based on community. And on the Inca moral code. Ama sua, ama llulla, ama qhilla. For crop rotation purposes. The economy is based on. Who visit each year.

Wednesday, 1 April 2015. Semana Santa - Holy Week. Cusco began its colourful Semana Santa, or Holy Week, on Monday. With its ceremonial procession of El Señor de los Temblores. We walked up and on the way had to take these. Museo de Santo Domingo Qoricancha. We waited at the Plaza de Armas along with thousands of others. The cathedral of Santa Domingo.
