Wednesday, February 13, 2008. Art Day in My Studio. Yesterday was "The Four of Us" art day at my studio. Myself and three other artists started a group about six months ago. We are now down to three (don't ask). We meet on the second Tuesday of each month. We all get together in one of our studios at 10:00 am and talk, give each other advice on life and paintings, have lunch, drink wine and did I forget, PAINT. Terry comes from California. Monday, January 28, 2008. Life in the country. We went to Branson yesterday. We had a lot of fun, it was nice to see all of the stores and restaurants. We had lunch at the Red Lobster, seafood is my favorite. Although I enjoyed my day in the city, waking up in the country is still where I want to be. Saturday, February 16, 2008. Life on the lake. I've been playing with the idea of doing a painting of a houseboat on Bull Shoals Lake. The theme for the spring art show at the Welcome Center is "Life comes from the water". Just a thought. I took some pictures which I have posted today. I will probably go down to the lake in the next couple of days to get some more. I like to use photos for my reference when I paint. Thursday, February 14, 2008. Life In The Ice Storm. We had an ice storm the day before yesterday. As an artist I only see the beauty in it all. I know that a lot of people have lost their power over this but so far so good over here. I think the the ice makes all of the trees look decorated with diamonds. The sparkle is so bright in the sunlight, it is almost blinding. I wish I could capture the true beauty of it all on my camera. I can't imagine how hard it's going to be to paint. Life on the lake.
