It's My Life!: HOW TO MAKE HOOKED OR PRODDED LAPEL PINS
https://judyfostersblog.blogspot.com/p/how-to-make-hooked-or-prodded-lapel.html
HOW TO MAKE HOOKED OR PRODDED LAPEL PINS. Here's some hooked and prodded pins. Below are the instructions on how to make them. Here's a picture of a few ways to cut wool fabric for the "petals" of a proddy pin. As you can see, the strips vary from 3" to 4 1/2" in length and about 1/2" to 3/4" in width. If doing a hooked pin, use your normal wool strips; mine are usually #8 (1/4") cuts. But if you want a very fine, feathery hooked pin use a narrower cut. Now, before I go on, telling about how to make the ...
It's My Life!: HOW TO DYE WITH MARIGOLDS
https://judyfostersblog.blogspot.com/p/how-to-dye-with-marigolds.html
HOW TO DYE WITH MARIGOLDS. Directions, in picture form, of how to dye wool (or any natural fiber) with marigolds. Here's the book I use as basic information: "The Complete Natural Dyeing Guide" by Marie Sugar, published by Rug Hooking Magazine. I began by gathering the marigold flower heads. As you can see by the measuring lines on the pan, I gathered about 4 cups. Spread out a piece of cheesecloth and place your flowers there. Use some string and tie the cloth tightly into a bag. Add the wool and stir.
It's My Life!: February 2015
https://judyfostersblog.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 20, 2015. I've been remiss in not updating this online journal! Been busy visiting several places in the area and I've not shared with you. So in the next few days I'll try to put a few pics on here of where we've been and tell you what we've been doing. Today is slightly overcast and only 60 degrees this am when I got up. We want to drive to Banderra this afternoon but might not go if it stays so gloomy - we'll just stay home and vegetate! He went to sleep on duty! After we finished the...
It's My Life!: January 2015
https://judyfostersblog.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 8, 2015. Spring Branch is cool . Well, we're here. Spring Branch, Texas. Yes, I know; it's super cold back home, but still . Our poor landlady has apologized over and over. But, hey! She can't control the weather! I told her we've experienced this at other locations we've stayed for the winter and they all tell us the same story! This is not normal weather for us! We need to go back - there are several other shops I want to visit as well as a couple wineries have outlet shops there....

It's My Life!
Wednesday, March 14, 2018. And I had fun! Got to tour this large old downtown church and it's awesome. What big, beautiful stained glass windows they have! I think when we left we had made about 21 hat/scarves! All in a days work for us industrious women . LOL! Then Saturday I went to Huntingburg and hooked with the Guild at the Serendipity Fibers shop. Such a good day! It just came out. I want the old "normal" back again! But it's not happening. I felt bad . Well, enough negativity! Bass Pro has just op...
