Well, David had a little more to tell me about the Thirlwalls, and lots to tell me about the Sladens! Think of the stories I’d have for both this blog and my travel blog.

Sounding off and Taking Off. Author Archives: judy lawless. Another Interesting Summer Day in Hastings, Ontario. July 21, 2016. I’m often amazed at how easy it is to find something interesting to do in this little town that we call home. While we waited, we accepted free (temporary) tattoos that a Parks Canada representative was offering, and I had my picture taken with Parka, the Parks Canada Mascot. Then we decided it might be better to move further up the river, to the Gazebo, where we could see this ...

Sounding off and Taking Off. Celebrating Twenty-five Years at Millbrook Manor 2008. In the spring of 2008, Millbrook Manor will be twenty-five years old. During those years it has been home to many area seniors. During the past few years, I’ve had the privilege of getting to know the first resident of Millbrook Manor, and her stories inspired me to embark on a project to celebrate the twenty-five years that she has shared with the other residents of The Manor. Through Thick and Thin 2012. This is the sto...

Sounding off and Taking Off. Theatre in the Rough. Published in The Country Connections Magazine, No. 52, Summer 2006). Shortly after I moved to the Peterborough area, I was asked if I’d like to attend a play at the 4. Line Theatre. Being a fan of local theatre, I accepted, and I was delightfully surprised at what I experienced. The play that we went to see is called Crow Hill: The Telephone Play. A reminiscence of romance and young love discovered during a summer vacation at an area cottage, a romance t...

Sounding off and Taking Off. July 21, 2015. The next day we just enjoyed the ride, taking our time, stopping along the way. Our only tourist stop was at St. Jean du Joli to show Dave the Motorcycle Museum that we had discovered on a previous trip to Quebec. Add to that the one-hour time change and it was 10:00 before we drove through the gates. The Cabin and the Condo, as Dave would say. Sunset View Campground, morning view. Boys will be Boys. Then we rode for another twelve miles into the Village of Gag...

Sounding off and Taking Off. A Few Days on Prince Edward Island. July 31, 2015. September 25th, 2011 Posted by pdicecco. Comments Off on Human Survival Tools. We, as human beings, are emotional and feeling creatures; each with an individual soul contract depending upon what we chose or needed to learn during this lifetime. Although we all know we have emotions, some people exert enormous effort denying or suppressing feelings. When a client tells me that he or she is angry and I ask them, How do you know? They look confused and say, I just know! Actually, the reason that we. It is a...

Sounding off and Taking Off. A Day of Exploring Scottsdale with Good Friends. March 27, 2018. It’s amazing to find how much more there is to learn about the places we’ve visited before. We’ve been to the Scottsdale area when we went to the Botanical Gardens, and the Museum of Instrumental Music (MIM) both of which I’ve written about before, but after being introduced to the blog. When we discovered that it had just opened, we went into the lobby and the gift shop for a little exploring. After lunch we vi...

Judy Lawn - Writer. Welcome to the website of Judy Lawn - Writer. What I'm reading now! The delightful M.C. Beaton, Hamish Macbeth and Agatha Raisen series. Wow! Love Agatha Raisen - what a gal! And as for that tall, red-haired Hamish Macbeth - I'm in love with Hamish! These books are terrific! Wonderful characters you feel you know as well as your own friends and neighbors. The whodunits, the suspense, the laugh out loud moments, the settings - these books have it all. Who will become King/Queen, now?
