Jug thug: How Many Miles Does It Take? Monday, October 17, 2011. How Many Miles Does It Take? During the breast cancer walk, we asked why in God's name is this thing 60 long freakin torturous miles. What's up with that? Haven't we suffered enough? I mean, everyone here pretty much has suffered in one way or another, from breast cancer, of course. And now we have to walk 60 miles on top of that? Why not 40 miles? But now I get it, and maybe it should have been obvious from the start. Follow me on Twitter.

I made white bean and kale soup for the second time in two weeks, and all I could think about was how much more delicious it would be with bacon, braised in the pot first, then pouring in the delicious veggies, spices, broth – all getting mixed up and infused with bacon grease, bacon butter. And, so, what am I to do? That I never even got to truly appreciate? Bacon lollis from founding farmers. Pork belly from Woodberry Kitchen. Oh, this is disastrous.

The Jug Tavern Squares enjoy dancing square dances, round dances, and round dancing at the YMCA, 50 Brad Akins Drive, Winder, Georgia on the second and fourth Fridays of each month. The main dance is held from 8-10 pm, with early activities starting at 7:30 pm (a plus-level workshop followed by early round dancing). Steve Holzhausen is the regular square-dance caller, and Lon Bedillion cues the round dances.
