Die Suche nach einem geeigneten Motorrad ist nicht leicht. Ich begann meine Motorrad"laufbahn" 2007 auf einer Transalp. Frank fuhr da eine Africa Twin. Da die Transalp mich 100km unterm Nordkap mit defektem Li-ma Regler im Stich ließ und Frank auf eine KTM umsattelte, zog ich mit um - ebenfalls KTM. Diese wurde mir 2008 in Göteborg geklaut. Franks KTM stand noch dort jedoch war der Kabelbaum defekt und sie kämpfte seither immer wieder mit Elektronikausfällen.

Donnerstag, 20. Oktober 2011. Peru (besser spät als nie.). Wir überquerten die Grenze nach Peru and waren erstaunt, wie freundlich die Menschen waren, vor allem die Grenzbeamten! Wir wurden schnellstens abgefertigt und fuhren nach Tacna. Weiter. Dieser Ort wurde nicht besonders in unserem “Lonely Planet" Führer erwähnt, stellte sich dann aber als recht nett heraus. Wir genossen hier unser erstes – leckeres! Von dort ging es nach Arequipa. Leider regnete es die Nacht in Strömen, so dass sich der Parkplatz...

What´s it all about? Mittwoch, 11. Januar 2012. We spent more time at the border to Costa Rica than anywhere else before then- but not because they were corrupt! On the Panamanian side, they forgot to give us back a required piece of paper from customs and so we had to head back through no-man`s land to get it. The recipe calls for roast pork in a delicious sauce and the singer felt sorry for the poor pig, about to be roasted;). With regard to the weather , we were lucky as it wasn´t too hot inland. What´s it all about? Finding the ideal bike is not easy . I started my motorcycle "career" in 2007 on a Honda Transalp. Frank had a Honda Africa Twin. Well, the Transalp deserted me 100km south of the North Cape with a defective alternator control and Frank decided to switch to KTM, so I switched to KTM, too. The KTM was stolen in Gothenburg, Sweden in 2008. Frank's KTM was still there but the ignition had been tampered with and it wouldn´t start. The bike never really recovered.
