I hosted a little Christmas PJ party last weekend and it was the perfect excuse to unpack all my shiny and pretty holiday decorations. Aside from some candles that must have melted in the summer heat in our storage room, everything was just as glimmering and perfect as I remembered it! Thursday, August 30, 2012. A Trip to the Hermitage. While my sweet mom was in town, we packed up and took a little trip to the Hermitage, the home of Andrew Jackson. I hadn't been in. Years, since I first applied to Vanderbilt as a senior in high school. It was so wonderful to be back and I couldn't believe how much I'd forgotten about the mansion and grounds. You have to go! Over all, it was a lovely and drippy day. Matt and I plan to go back once the leaves start changing. Want to come? 1 scant t salt.

I'll admit that, half-way through making it, I wasn't sure I would love this blanket. But now that it's done, in all its zig-zaggy glory, I love it!
