Saturday, 31 March 2007. Lake Titicaca, Cusco, The Sacred Valley and The Inca Trail - Peru. Let me start off by saying - I MADE IT! I survived the Inca Trail and made it back in one piece. But before I get into the details, let me go back to where I left off last time. We met the rest of the group just before lunch and went on a reed boat together and to a second island. Thursday, 19 April 2007. Return of the Parasites III. Bloody hell, these parasites are nasty buggers! Hopefully this is the end of it, I am sick of having passengers! I do trust the South African medical system more than the South American one so I am optimistic that my doctor is right! Anyway, back to where I left off last time. Monday, 9 April 2007. After all the complaining in the last blog, I am happy to report that after 2 weeks of being sick the parasites are gone, and I am back to perfect health! On 1st April we flew to Arequipa. It was a bizaar flight - it was first a 25 minute flight to the town of Juliaca, and then another 25 minute flight to Arequipa. Thursday, 14 December 2006. That will be followed by Cricket at Newlands (South Africa vs India), a road trip up the Garden Route with Bernita, and a stay in Knysna at Elaine and Ian. I can’t wait to visit – it’s been described as paradise – a house on an island, a beach, a kayak… need I say more!
