If you were to travel back in time three months and tell me what my life is like right now, I would probably laugh at you because it would sound so ridiculous. It's all bittersweet. And confusing, very confusing. I guess the only comfort I really have is knowing I'm right where I'm supposed to be and my journey will unfold exactly the way it should. Links to this post.

January 12, 2014. Tonight is one of those nights. Something inside me breaks. And the darkness creeps in. Like a fog,. Sickly swirling around my heart,. Sucking the color from my eyes,. Leaving me heavy and weightless. At the same time. My mind wanders to the past. The sister I never knew ,. Blue eyes and blue jays,. That last letter and a loaded gun. And I think about going on. To a place where things are barely tangible,. Like dying wisps of smoke. Caught in a still room. You have that effect on me,. And the things I want to say. Slip off your tongue. Gliding like heavy silk. Our roots tangle together. Beneath fallen leaves and warm earth. Intertwining until we become. Until your beating heart.

January 22, 2013. And then life happens. There comes a point in life when you are faced with decisions. Decisions that could shape your entire future. Who you will become, where you'll go, who you'll meet: every little detail depends on those decisions. This past year was full of life changing decisions for me. We were all scared and nervous and bonded quicker than anyone normally would; because when you're all new in a foreign place, walls come down and friendships are bonded closer than they ever would.
