5 Berlin Food Places I Can Honestly Recommend. If you move to a new city old and new friends will ask you things like “what is your favorite bar or restaurant? 8221; There’ve been only a handful bars that I’ve even been to more than once. Restaurants with exception of certain local street food offers even less so. I prefer to try new locations almost every time. And still I haven’t seen 1% of the Berlin food offers or bar districts. 1 Breakfast @ Salumeria Lamuri (Kreuzberg). Soon after I arrived here in...

Writing - Life of Julez
http://lifeofjulez.com/writing
It got quiet around here. And there are many reasons for that. One of many is that I started to question a lot of things this year. Several times. Blogging for example. I started writing online over 13 years ago. It was a big passion of mine then. I wrote about stuff I was passionate about. So mostly music and fancy cars. I was a teen back then, so that might explain the latter. In 2013. But then I relaunched and renamed the blog, so other stuff I’m passionate about would fit in too. I don’t know&#...

24 hours in Otterndorf: Welcome to my hometown. Yesterday I participated in the #JAchat. And since I was in full flashback mode during the chat, I thought it would be fun to tell you here in more than 140 characters, why Otterndorf is kinda awesome and what we would do there, if I’d show this beautiful little town to you. Brunch in the old town centre of Otterndorf. A2: My hometown Otterndorf. Mdash; Francesca (@WorkMomTravels) January 30, 2015. Walk across the mudflats. There is a tiny island called Neu...

Football + Love - Life of Julez
http://lifeofjulez.com/football-love
Either you love football or you don’t. I don’t buy the casual football watchers and averagely interested fans. As football is an important part of German society some people might be good at pretending. Because I guess that’s just what you do. Especially if you want to belong or be a real man’, but actually don’t really give a fuck. Fan culture needs to grow. It can’t be there from the start. It takes time. There is a lot of stuff going on before and after the games. Almost all of them ar...Sometimes eve...

Why James Corden is the new king of Late Night TV. I’ve been watching late night tv way too much for quite a while now. Why? It makes me laugh after a bad day or even a good one. The recent years of late night hosts. James Corden – From Dark Horse to Viral Star. The same natural feel that I get from James Corden sinc...

A Typical Night in Berlin. Saturday Night. Winter. You get out of the house. It’s dark and rainy. A fat rat crosses the boardwalk right in front of you. You keep on walking. A few streets later a fox is on his nightly adventures. Not kidding. You reach the U-Bahn. Take a few stops and get out. Kreuzberg. The dealers are already waiting at the end of the stairs. Who needs plans in Berlin? You have a great time. It’s 1:30 am and you want a freakin’ waffle. Photo credit: Dieter Titz.
