The Official Guide to So-So Parenting. Friday, October 22, 2010. Sarah started out the school year with another Character Trait Award. This time it was for self-control. And as it so happens, one of her very best friends was also recognized for exceptional self-control. Now I know why play dates with these two go so smoothly. Aren't they sweet, posing so nicely? The Official Guide to So-So Parenting. Thursday, October 14, 2010. Finally got around to checking an activity off of my to-do list. No, not shampooing the carpet. That is still left unchecked. And might remain that way forever. What I did is I finally summited the third highest peak in Oregon, a once active volcano known as South Sister. Wednesday, May 13, 2009. They had a blast at the beach. We decided to go on a Sunday afternoon before it's blazing hot here. They really had not been in about 4 years- -so it was a like the 1st time all over again. Even Sarah was all smiles. We'll have to do it more now that we live on the coast! Emma turned 6 in April! She has grown up so much this past year. She loves to read and is learning quickly. She also learned to ride her bike with no training wheels! Love her to pieces. Camping at Lake Texoma.

Friday, May 30, 2008. Emma had her 1st Dance Recital a few weeks ago. She absolutely loved it.especially the make-up part. Monday, August 25, 2008. 1st day of school. What an exciting day. Emma's 1st day of Kindergarten and Jacob's 1st day of 2nd grade! Emma got Jacob's Kindergarten teacher - she is awesome! Jacob didn't even want me to walk him to his classroom. But, I did anyway. He was excited to have his buddy Jonathan in his class.
