Friday, August 31, 2007. As of this morning, it has been 10 years since i came out to live on the left coast. And just like the first morning when i woke up in whistler, my sleep came to an end with reports of princess diana's death and memorial. it was like a very weird flashback, and it's even weirder that my arrival here is connected with her death. auspicious beginning, no? Anyhoo - am taking the morning off work since i have to work a booth at the PNE (super dogs! Taught myself how to snowboard.

http://howyougobble.blogspot.com/2008/07/day-4-when-jess-learns-that-pole.html
Sunday, July 6, 2008. Day 4 when jess learns that pole-vaulting is one of the most exciting sports in the world. Two hours later, i was parked at antzen stadium at the university of oregon waiting for the free shuttle and 20 minutes after that, i was at historic hayward field in the land of steve prefontaine (and yes, he certainly does live), track town USA and the land of nike. Oh my this is the best blog. July 6, 2008 at 3:46 PM. Considering the fact that it could be more accurate in giving informations.

gracious, child! how you gobble!: October 2007
http://howyougobble.blogspot.com/2007_10_01_archive.html
Saturday, October 27, 2007. Don't eff with my dip. Seriously, i don't care what time of year it is - don't try to dress up my vanilla dip doughnut with novelty sprinkles! This is for a variety of reasons:. 1) the bat sprinkles actually taste different. 2) it ruins the aesthetic pleasure of the doughnut and makes it kind of assymetrical - dark black heavy sprinkles across from the dainty colourful balls? 3) just don't. nuff said. Fort st. james. Home to the world's largest fly rod. I am so happy to be home.

Thursday, December 13, 2007. Um, so the ganglion in my wrist might have just gone away. i have no idea if i've written about this before, but i have a ganglion in my wrist from when i fell on my ass on my way from the mall to work after lunch one day. and it took forever for the docs to figure out what it was (ganglion? Aah, yes, ganglion) and i have an appointment for next week to have the sucker removed which i was all stoked for (except for the shaved arm part). I am still giggling 10 minutes later.

The Stars Have Eyes: Summer school report.
http://thestarshaveeyes.blogspot.com/2007/08/summer-school-report.html
The Stars Have Eyes. According to Student Financial Services, my standing deferral crisis will be "taken care of," whatever that means. I sent all the appropriate paperwork before the deadline, now I have to sit on my hands and wait for all this to play itself out. I will just have to take the class again, that's all. A minor setback. I'm an undergrad working on a double major in sociology and English literature. I write short fiction, poetry and the occasional freelance article. View my complete profile.
