David's Science blog: Moon Phases
http://davidsscienceblogishungry.blogspot.com/2011/05/moon-phases.html
There was an error in this gadget. I noticed that the parts of the moon change when the position it is to the sun changes, because before I always thought that part of the moon is blocked because there was a meteorite blocking it. We see different parts of the moon each nght because we can only see the moon when the sunlight is reflecting off it. So as the moon orbits the earth, the sunlight hits less or more of the moon, so we sometimes see a lot of the moon and sometimes we don't.

There was an error in this gadget. Guiding Question: What are the factors that affect the appearance of impact craters? How do scientists use craters to tell the relative age of them. Hypothesis: I think that the weight and temperature will affect the appearance of the crater. The black hole is sucking in a large amount of gas and jetting it out again. If the black hole in the milky way started, that is also what it would do, except that the jet of gas it is expelling would be 40 times stronger than ...

Sunday, November 27, 2011. Cash In Exchange For Good Grades? Have some school decided to give cash to do well in tests? December 11, 2011 at 4:13 AM. As a teacher, for every test that I have to take for my teacher certification, I pay at least 75$. Isnt that crazy? You are paying to put yourself through torture! I am not sure that I agree with paying students to do well. It should be something they want to do well, right? Its for their own future. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

There was an error in this gadget. In class we had a debate (2 people arguing for each opinion) about whether or not irradiated food was a good or bad thing. Tristan and I were were arguing for how it was good (pros), and Blaise and Julia were arguing to get rid of it (cons). In the end Cons won and our final conclusion was that:. Pros and Cons of food irradiation:. My thinking didn't really change through the debate because I still don't really care if the food is irradiated or not. I think the deba...

This is a blog for Science Class. I will put most of the things I will do here. Sunday, March 13, 2011. Properties of Sound Lab. To determine how changing amplitude and frequency can change how a sound is perceived. Have two partners each hold one end of the thicker rubber band and pill until the ribber band is taut (not loose). Pill the rubber band about 1 cm away from middle. Let it go. How far does the band move? Describe the sound you hear in the table below. Repeat step 8 two more times, making the ...

This is a blog for Science Class. I will put most of the things I will do here. Tuesday, May 10, 2011. During class we talked about food i rradiation. We were. In partners to research about the cons and pros of food irradiation. Monica, Teodora and I were researching about the pros, Roy and Aleksaj were researching about the cons of food.
