For new immigrant students at Flushing High School, we are sponsoring a project where a teaching artist from the Lincoln Center Theater, in collaboration with an English language teacher at the High School, is applying theater techniques to enhance English language acquisition and speaking skills. In the past we made a grant to the Rheedlen Centers for Children and Families.

The Julia Rusinek Memorial Fund holds an annual fund-raising event in support of children, to commemorate Julia and celebrate her love of sports. Julia's Run for Children - April 10, 2016. Weather: sunny, cold and windy. Participants: over 300 registered, 50 kids took part in the Fun Run, 207 crossed the finish line of the 4-mile race.
