The Rook Family: 4 Months
http://bookontherooks.blogspot.com/2012/12/4-months.html
Tuesday, December 4, 2012. Height: 27 1/2 inches 97%. Weight: 17.4 lbs. 81%. Head size: 40.5cm 5%. Ronan still is a very tall baby with a small head! His favorite things include:. His bouncy chair, which he will happily bounce in for 30 minutes some days. Grabbing mommy's hair, or anyone's hair for that matter (sorry, grandma Rook). Looking at and petting Chloe. The other day he laughed when she did her "jump and spin" trick. Hold his head up from the ground a good couple inches when he's on his back....

The Rook Family: Yay For Internet!
http://bookontherooks.blogspot.com/2013/06/yay-for-internet.html
Sunday, June 16, 2013. It took a while, but we finally got internet at our new apartment. Oh wait, it was new in December. It's June and I haven't blogged in 6 months. Time for a quick update! Life moves pretty fast when you are a mom. I feel like I barely have time to breath and then he's almost walking! From us, is the answer. Don't you see it? Maybe we'll find some baby pictures and paste them on our faces so people will stop asking. Hmm.that may bring different questions. Subscribe to: Post Comments ...

The Rook Family: November 2012
http://bookontherooks.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 15, 2012. The Story of how we started a Martial Arts School (part one). Written by Tim Rook. It is easy to start a business. Just head to City Hall with about $200 cash and you can do it! Later we started getting a ton of referrals from our students and parents which meant we must be doing something right. More events started to get set up and in about 8 months we had grown to 75 members! I almost said, lets pay ourselves a bit, but then realized the tiny mats we were using just wouldn...

The Rook Family: July 2012
http://bookontherooks.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 29, 2012. Ronan: A Photo Debut. Friday, July 27, 2012. Birth Story Part Three: The Tale of Ronan Rook. Suddenly, the moment had come. "Give him to Dad," someone said. Tim walked over and took our swaddled baby. For a moment, Tim didn't move, but just looked down at him. "Bring him over here," I said. He looked as if he'd come out of some trance and brought our baby boy over the side rail of my hospital bed so we could both look at him. Tim nodded. "Ronan it is.". We'll post another blog with...

The Rook Family: Fiona Rose: A Birth Story
http://bookontherooks.blogspot.com/2014/10/fiona-rose-birth-story.html
Monday, October 27, 2014. Fiona Rose: A Birth Story. A few weeks before Fiona was due, we decided to be induced the week of her due date. We were a little nervous about how big she'd be, since Ronan was 10 lbs 3 oz. And by "we" I mean me and the doctor who kept telling me I was gaining too much weight and if my baby got too big, I'd have to have a C-section. Our nurse, Ginger, told us they called it, "The Disco Room." Sweet! We were gonna have a baby in the party room of the hospital. My body bounced bac...

The Rook Family: One Year
http://bookontherooks.blogspot.com/2013/07/one-year.html
Thursday, July 18, 2013. I can't believe it. Mr Milk Mustache is one. Every night, after Ronan goes to sleep, Tim and I usually watch an episode or two of Burn Notice before going to sleep. Tonight, Tim pulled out the old iPad to look at pictures and videos first taken of our tiny little man. Yeah, I cried. So what? He's gotten so big and come so far! He's said his first words (Da da, yay, and hi-ya! And I remember it wasn't just me. We. Didn't know what we. Dressed him up,. How to appreciate nature.

The Rook Family: October 2012
http://bookontherooks.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Wednesday, October 24, 2012. Rant: The Media and Mood Obstruction. Television tells us how we should react to life situations. How many times have you seen a woman storm out of a room telling a man she never wants to see him again? You don't, except on tv. In real life, whatever the man did, it would be a long drawn out conversation about what happened and why and blah blah blah. While men think, "I wonder what's for dinner? Completely unaware anything is wrong until their woman explodes at them. I reali...

The Rook Family: Early Birthday Present
http://bookontherooks.blogspot.com/2014/05/early-birthday-present.html
Saturday, May 31, 2014. Tim rocks my socks off. I've been hearing that Prenatal Yoga is awesome and I've been wanting to try it, and hopefully, that will be relaxing, and the mani/pedi is just a no brainer. I'm just trying to justify my very expensive wants to you. Is it normal to feel guilty wanting these things? How nice of my husband, right? When I got home, he told me I was home too early. I was confused. Why was he so upset? Then he showed me the shiny new laptop on the coffee table. I lubs my hubs.
