Penny's Project: Thank you for YOUR Kindness
http://pennysproject.blogspot.com/2008/10/october-1-thank-you-for-your-kindness.html
A place to share ideas of small steps of kindness that we can offer others, and a place to talk about our experiences. Wednesday, October 1, 2008. Thank you for YOUR Kindness. During the time the Penny's Project blog posts began posting, and my new novel, Stepping Into Sunlight. Was heading out to meet the world, I was blessed by many kind acts specifically thought up by friends as a way to support the new book. I just had to share a few of them here. Joyce emailed and reminded me she was praying for me ...

Penny's Project: Day 17 - Fare card/Gift Card
http://pennysproject.blogspot.com/2008/09/september-17-fare-cardgift-card.html
A place to share ideas of small steps of kindness that we can offer others, and a place to talk about our experiences. Wednesday, September 17, 2008. Day 17 - Fare card/Gift Card. One of my favorite scenes in Stepping Into Sunlight. Is when Penny gives a Fare Card for the city bus to a stranger. You may not live in an urban area with fare cards, but a grocery store card, or a gift card for a general sort of store like Target would be another good idea. Do you know someone who could use a gift card today?

Penny's Project: Day 10 - Get Your Hands Dirty
http://pennysproject.blogspot.com/2008/09/september-10-get-your-hands-dirty.html
A place to share ideas of small steps of kindness that we can offer others, and a place to talk about our experiences. Wednesday, September 10, 2008. Day 10 - Get Your Hands Dirty. In my pre-September warm-up posts, I shared about my daughter picking up litter in a movie theatre parking lot, and the story of the nun at a retreat who wiped up the bathroom to leave it nicer than the way she found it. But that's part of the fun. Or share some other ideas you have! Random Acts of Kindness. Oh, Rel, I'm so so...

Generation NeXt Parenting: September 2006
http://genxparents.blogspot.com/2006_09_01_archive.html
Saturday, September 30, 2006. I love the saying, "If life gives you lemons, make lemonade." As a parent, the only other alternative is getting cranky when things don't turn out as planned- and who wants that? Yesterday I had an opportunity to make some lemonade. A friend was visiting, and I thought it would be fun to take Gayle, my grandma and the kids up to our local ski park where they give gondola rides off season. Unfortunately, we were off season for that! Posted by Tricia Goyer @ 5:57 AM. You get a...

Vintage Wine: Honey & mustard chicken
http://vintagewinewritings.blogspot.com/2007/11/honey-mustard-chicken.html
Friday, November 23, 2007. Honey and mustard chicken. I admire people who can grab something out of the freezer and then make a delicious meal in no time at all. It's impressing! Whenever I'm asked to stay for an unplanned dinner and the hostess say (very modestly) that it's just something simple, I usually feel like asking "It this you doing something. Honey and mustard chicken. 4 tbs mustard (preferably whole-grain mustard). 4 tbs liquid honey. Preheat the oven to 190 °C. Serve it with whatever you pre...
