Not to mention I got stuck in the eye of the storm driving down the mountain, with driving rain, wind, hail, and lightning very close, and had to take shelter in Golden til it passed. Photos and commentary about life's big adventures. March 31, 2014. Wildlife and water once more - and that's a wrap! Shortly after my Alpaca experience, I headed back to the harbor for my 3 hour Akaroa Dolphins nature cruise. Who do I meet first but the adorable Murphy in his tiny little life jacket. As we head into the harbor, the captain provided just the right amount of information about the landscapes and wildlife we were seeing. I forget what these interesting guys are. More dramatic holes in rocks!

While back in NY for family matters, two days of torrential rain alternating with humidity turned to the most perfect spring weather possible. It's these kind of days that make me pine for this region more than ever. I can't get enough of the lush green farmland. Good ol east coast woods. Funny the things a person misses!
