I see how some are sold out to satan and have made stealing their profession. Hestia and me at the Jungle Barn, missionary housing in Boracay). One purpose, One goal, One God. God bless you, Julie. Laquo; Eternity City Church in Calapan City. During trying times we gain perspective. December 27, 2012. As I add these pictures, my heart is heavy. You have probably been seeing the news about the Typhoons and flooding here in the Philippines. The major Typhoon last month was in Mindanao, southern region, and missed us in the central and northern places. But over 1000 people were killed in mudslides and flooding in that region and many are displaced. Thank you and God bless you… Sis Julie.

Asia Adventure

Saturday, March 28, 2009. From Asia to Art. I am happy to say that David and I have returned from Asia safe and sound. I have been living in Washington, Georgia for the past two months while onto another adventure: creating paintings! This project is something that I've been dreaming of for some time and have finally been allowed the time to work on it. Or rather, it all has just finally come together as art usually has a mind of its own. Please check out this link to the Rohm Gallery. Anyway, she is the...

Julie in Bali | Stories, adventures, poems and pics from my life in Bali

Stories, adventures, poems and pics from my life in Bali. Where I am, and why I’m here…. I could stay here a long time…. Stay at Rumah Jepun, Ubud, Bali. I’ve become a published poet! Feeding a hungry tiger – with my bare hands…. I’ve been advised that this is cruel. However, I’ve decided. To delete this post because… if this is the extent of my ‘cruelty’ then I can live with it. Yes, I fed raw meat to a hungry tiger, using only my bare hands… and a long stick! Feed the tiger from up there. Doubtless ple...

Volunteering in Belize, Part 2

Volunteering in Belize, Part 2. I don't think I'll ever know if fate or free-will determines life's events. What I do know, however, is that 5 years ago I stumbled (literally) into the backyard of two Anglican missionaries and that changed everything. I am returning to Holy Cross Anglican School for a 2nd time (3rd trip to Belize) to volunteer for 2 months. Friday, December 4, 2009. An Eventful Final Week. The range of oral health that these students have is unbelievable! 8221; “Stamp? Wednesday was the ...

Toward Bethlehem

On Water and Spirit. Becki on Water and Spirit. Julie 2 on Disappointment. March 30, 2016. Since I only have a few days left of my time here, and I am fairly stable on my feet now, I hoped I would be able to get up to the Sea of Galilee. I was blessed to have the opportunity to do so yesterday. My friend and Methodist Liaison to the Holy Land, Kristen, offered to drive me. On our way north, we caught a glimpse of the Dead Sea. The drive to Galilee is lovely. We arrived in Tiberius. I am so grateful for t...

Julie at Stanford

Friday, November 6, 2009. However, there is a diagnosis for these feelings I am having. The Stanford Duck Syndrome. I look around at everyone - well-dressed, put together, and on top of their game and I feel inferior. How is it that for everyone else this stuff is effortless but for me it's such an intense struggle? Came Did I get my butt kicked by the test? No I did really well on the midterm! Top of the class in fact. How can that be? And though I'll probably still be the one duck that paddles a little...
