I know my health took a major dive…and I’m learning to cope with major physical changes and limitations. I’ve finally accepted my state of health. How much studying can you do in 5 minutes? 8216;Practising is about quality not quantity. Some days I practise for hours; other days it will be just a few minutes’. Easy – tired but functioning. Write (copy) textbook sentences and annotate. Medium – able to put some thought into it. Read targeted text – uses Kanji I have learned and know. Hard – really focused and engaged.

Here I’ve been noticing compound Kanji but I have forgotten the meaning of some parts of them. To help me further with this, next week I’ll be using a range of Kanji books (which I have a far few) to see which is the best to clarify such difficulties. I’ll review on this next week. So, what do you do about this? 1) Forgotten grammar points. 2) Confusion or uncertainty.

Over the past few months, as I’ve been trying to improve my classical-guitar playing, I’ve read numerous books about goal setting and routines to aid playing tricky pieces but also to maintain motivation – nothing makes you give up more than stuff you can’t do! Some of things I’ve learned for music, though, have also proved useful for me in language learning.

One of the sweetest families I have had the pleasure of working with. It was a very warm winter day, which was absolutely perfect for 6 month old Brinley! But who would have thought that the North Texas warm weather in winter would have the ladybugs out in full swarm! BUT we worked through the flying little darlings .(and much needed post editing removal of them) and had a wonderful afternoon of gorgeous light! Miss Brinley stole the show with her big, gorgeous blue eyes! Such a gorgeous, growing family!
