From the Heart: October 2009
http://muchtraveled.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 25, 2009. I love the rocks and rills. When we bought our home we were charmed to find that there was a stream flowing along the back edge of the property. We have been working for nearly 3 years to get the stream bank in good condition. It is a work in progress. The first year after we planted grass it looked like this:. The second year we planted wild flowers along the berm:. Our Quaking Aspen and River Birch trees are getting a good start:. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Come in and share ...

From the Heart: May 2010

Friday, May 28, 2010. Meet me in the gazebo. I have always loved gazebos. They conjure up images of serenity and tranquility that only seem to exist in movies. The movie that comes to mind is The Sound of Music. And that famous scene with Leisl and Rolfe singing You are sixteen, going on seventeen. I never dreamed that I would ever own a gazebo, much less a waterfall! Now we have both, and the only thing lacking is the time to enjoy them! I keep talking about? There is still plenty of work to do. We ...

The Sight of Stars: May 2012
http://thesightofstars.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
The Sight of Stars. I know nothing with any certainty, but the sight of stars makes me dream." - Van Gogh. You know that horrible, pervasive, wretched little voice in the back of your head that says you aren't good enough? You what else is real, though? Today, the voice is quieter. Today, I have whispered gratitude for the ability to see grace when it was given. I have smiled. I have laughed. I have accomplished some things. I can breathe. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). The Sight of Stars: Yellow
http://thesightofstars.blogspot.com/2014/04/yellow.html
The Sight of Stars. I know nothing with any certainty, but the sight of stars makes me dream." - Van Gogh. If light pours like water. Into the kitchen where I sway. With my tired children,. If the rug beneath us. Is woven with tough flowers,. And the yellow bowl on the table. Rests with the sweet heft. Of fruit, the sun-warmed plums,. If my body curves over the babies,. And if I am singing,. Then loneliness has lost its shape,. And this quiet is only quiet. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

The Sight of Stars: National Poetry Month 2014

The Sight of Stars. I know nothing with any certainty, but the sight of stars makes me dream." - Van Gogh. National Poetry Month 2014. The way the world is not. It doesn’t blink a leaf. When we step from the house. Leads me to think. That beauty is natural, unremarkable. And not to be spoken of. Except in the course of things. The course of singing and worksharing. The course of squeezes and neighbors. The course of you tying back your raving hair to go out. And the course of course of me.

http://lcauger.blogspot.com/2009/09/this-and-that.html
Friday, September 11, 2009. I know that I have had no time to blog. My life is crazy. But I am feeling blog guilt and as a result I am going to post a few pictures to ease my conscience. First day of school at the bus stop. Isaac is now a big 2nd grader. He is enjoying 2nd grade but not the nightly homework. We are staying busy but again I will try to post something soon, but to be honest I still don't have much extra time. We will see. ALL of your kids are adorable! September 15, 2009 at 2:35 PM.
