A place to show-off my quilts and other crafty adventures. Tuesday, November 3, 2015. My nephew was very concerned as to what "auntie" pillowcase he was going to use between Halloween and Christmas. My sister had me order some birthday fabric and now each family will have a birthday pillowcase to use. Links to this post. I backed it in a piece of Bliss fabric that I had but wasn't in love with. A place to show-off my quilts and other crafty adventures. Sunday, September 4, 2016. I had some leftovers from the skull quilt so I made a lap sized quilt for another friend. This was a just because quilt. I had to buy some backing but was able to find a wide backing at my LQS that worked perfect. A place to show-off my quilts and other crafty adventures. Thursday, October 20, 2016. I've been traveling a ton and with the holidays coming up I decided to knit some projects that I can donate before Christmas. The first is a knitted baby blanket that will go to Catholic Charities for the Lullaby League and the second is a scarf that will be dropped at my childrens' school for their winter gear collection for the needy. I used up a bunch of yarn in my stash for the baby blanket making it a win-win!

My Mom has a very similar mug rug at her house made from scraps of a quilt that was made for a dear friend who died from pancreatic cancer. My neice loves the mug rug, taking it and snuggling it every time she is at my parent's house. I dug out some scraps and made one for her to take home.
