A blog about Crafts and Kids, with things to see and do. Tuesday, July 1, 2014. Outlander - a literary love affair. That first book became a series now on it's eighth volume. Oh, and for some more serendipity, t...

SpindleJigs: October 2014
http://spindlejigs.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
A blog about Crafts and Kids, with things to see and do. Monday, October 27, 2014. The View From the Cave. Still all about Outlander. One of the most haunting images from this book, one that always sticks with me. Is that of Jamie's time alone in the cave. Here is my ode to outlaws and rebels and loneliness. A shawl the color of sunlight through bracken and fading leaves. Simple garter stitch in chunky yarn. Trimmed with bits of fabric salvaged from trips home. What unimaginable loneliness and sorrow.
