January 30, 2013. During our bedtime snuggle last night, Roo and I discussed the book we had just finished. She commented on its happy ending. I dont know what came over me, but I blurted out: Do you think real life has a happy ending? Without a moments hesitation, she said Yes of course! Because after you die, you become an angel. I dont know where she came up with that idea; it wasnt from her parents. But its a fine explanation when youre five years old and crave and expect happy endings.

December 21, 2015. I have always loved being the youngest (of 3) in my family for lots of reasons, but one hilarious aspect is the difference between my nativity set and my siblings. They both have completely matched sets that were given to them brand new. I had mismatched hand-me-downs. . This sad little donkey makes Eeyore seem like the life of the party. Youd be depressed, too, if you had a chipped ear, a reglued head, and a freaking topiary fusing to your legs. I specifically said JOHN THE BAPTIST!
