This year i checked out a bokashi composting system. i had looked at them on our last trip to australia, where they are quite popular, but thought we'd do the worm thing instead. Unfortunately the worm thing has never taken off. and the bokashi is looking attractive again. i especially like that you can do all organic waste (fish etc. even! A lot of our green waste goes to the chooks. but not all of it. Urban composter via biome.

Thursday, January 3, 2013. This vintage walnut shelving unit came to us via d's mom. Very happy with how this transformed the room. (Can't find a before! D managed to get all the wires hidden in the wall which also made me very happy. Just need to finish up the baseboards and wiring the stereo. (Yes that is a new television too. Thank you harry hanukah.). Now looking for a new chair. To finish it off. The much beloved "egg chair". Also saving pennies to have the floor refinished.). The marion house book.
