Changes in Latitude, Changes in Attitude. Ribbons, Ribbons and Yet More Ribbons! I had a ton of fun dying silk dupioni ribbons and then serging the edges. These turned out really well and I listed them in my Etay store today. I've got more colors ready to serge and list next week, including Emerald Isle, Woodland Moss, Tahiti Seas, Purple Majesty and Liberace! It's like doing cut and paste in kindergarten, only without the paste and with alot of dye! Each ribbon is about 36" long and around 5/8" wide.

Changes in Latitude, Changes in Attitude. Speaking of color, CIM glass has a color called Crocus that is drop dead gorgeous. It's almost translucent and it positively glows. Not quite purple and not really pink, but a very soft color that works up beautifully. Here's a shell and spacers made from it (borrowed the shell idea from Maggie (maggieet on Etsy). Isn't it yummy? Changes in Latitude, Changes in Attitude. I finally got some time to take and edit photos for my new listings on Etsy. The first is a bracelet featuring some swirly lentils in turquoise and ivory, along with a lampwork conch shell and a unique mermaid toggle clasp. I love this bracelet and need to remember to make another one for myself! These turned out nicely though and will make a nice addition to a bracelet or necklace. Links to this post. Changes in Latitude, Changes in Attitude. Another Day in Paradise. Saturday was a fabulous day at the Scappoose Farmer Market. The sun was out and attendance was up over the week before. Sales were good and I'm anxious for Saturday to get here so I can do it all again! Bracelets were the hot item this last weekend so I'll be replenishing my stock this week. Here's a couple of my favorites, both made with my lampwork and Hill Tribe silver. Very easy to do too. Cedar Plank Grilled Salmon. Links to this post.

Changes in Latitude, Changes in Attitude. We have the cutest little tree frogs here in Scappoose! They're really most prevalent in the fall and can usually be heard calling (croaking) out to their mates. This li'l guy was on my front window ledge this morning, just sitting there above my flowers. He stayed there for about 2 hours before moving on. Won't be long until the croaking sounds fill the night! Links to this post. Blue Lagoon Beads on Etsy! Scappoose, Oregon, United States. Blue Lagoon Blog: Editing Bead Photos
http://bluelagoonbeads.blogspot.com/2009/01/editing-bead-photos.html
Changes in Latitude, Changes in Attitude. I'm not sure why, but my Photoshop Elements program is so slow that it makes me want to pull my hair out! It takes 2 minutes, yep, 2 minutes, just to load a photo so I can edit it. Drives me crazy. Anyway, I took some photos and added a few listings to my Etsy shop today. More to list tomorrow, if I can stand to wait 2 minutes every time I load a photo. Here's some sneak peeks of some earring pairs that I'll be listing next:. Blue Lagoon Beads on Etsy!

Blue Lagoon Blog: Boro! Boro! Boro!
http://bluelagoonbeads.blogspot.com/2009/02/boro-boro-boro.html
Changes in Latitude, Changes in Attitude. Ok, it's not as catchy as the movie title, "Tora! But if you've only been playing with soft glass and then finally take the plunge into boro, it's definitely as exciting as the movie! Boro is stiffer than soft glass, takes longer to work (at least on my torch it does) and reacts differently. I find it somewhat unpredictable and I have trouble getting consistent results but it's so much fun to experiment! They are gorgeous, Angela! February 7, 2009 at 4:40 AM.
