Easier said than done, because these days you have tons of options. A quick glance at them shows BCache. Or what I went for which is based on Flash-Cache: EnhanceIO. There’s probably more of them, while writing this I ran into this article on LVM cache. 8211; sounds interesting too. My reason for going with EnhanceIO. To cre...

Skip to content ↓. Another day, another tool, another server. This tool is another work in progress that you can use on your servers if you dare. The purpose of it is to give a quick overview of the server on the console. Displayed information right now includes IP(v4) addresses. And of course the hostname. Soon ™ it will also have memory. And whatever I can think of and stash in that little screen. To show you stuff with style). For a retarded syscall to get free diskspace). For non linear nettraf bars).

Skip to content ↓. As a long time slackware user I often build packages myself. One reason for that is that slackware doesn’t have packages for a lot of useful things, but that’s a good thing 🙂. New versions will be announced here, and maybe on other places later when I find the script good enough for public use. Until then, don’t be surprised if it chowns your root partition to /dev/kanker or sets your piece of cardboard on fire, whether Nvidia or ATI. Sweet icons by famfamfam. Back to top ↑.

Skip to content ↓. And it’s back! I finally bothered to rewrite it after the tool being broken for a few years due to nectarine crashing/losing backups/molesting the site and switching owners a few times. This script is based on the old necta.pl. Script me and a friend wrote a couple of years ago. An Irssi script to show you what’s currently playing and will be playing soon on scenemusic.eu. As usual this thing is written in perl, but it needs a few perl modules. And be done with it. Cpanp 'i XML: LibXML'.

Skip to content ↓. Check MK plugin: MTR for pretty ping graphs. On Dec.31, 2015, under Check MK. Another day, another Check MK. This one is inspired by smokeping. But different because it doesn’t need smokeping. It does need the tool formerly known as Matt’s TraceRoute, aka mtr. It’s installed on all my machines by default and easily available in all distro’s that are worthy. Even pokemon OS has it 😉. The reason I wanted to build this plugin was first of all because of pretty graphs (of course! Let̵...
